    Things you must consider when coming to the school -

    - Instruments, drum stools and door handles are cleaned after each lesson -


    Do not come to your lesson if you are showing symptoms

    The main symptoms of Coronavirus (COVID-19) are:

    • A high temperature more than 37.5– this means you feel hot to touch on your chest or back 
    • A new, continuous cough – this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours (if you usually have a cough, it may be worse than usual)

    • A loss or change to your sense of smell or taste – this means you've noticed you cannot smell or taste anything, or things smell or taste different to normal


    All students must wear a mask throughout the lesson


    Wash your hands before and after the lesson

    Toilets are available on site


    Bring your own drum sticks


    Avoid public transport when travelling to and from lesson, if possible


    Use electronic payment instead of cash payment, if possible

    You can pay your course by card at the school or via bank transfer



    Founded by professional drummer Daniel Akaoui, Bmus (Hons), Gotthard Drum School London is the official Hena Habegger's GotthardDrumSchool branch in the UK. The school provides one to one tuition and group lessons as well as online lessons.

    • First class Honours Bachelor of Music in popular music performance from The Institute of Contemporary Music Performance (ICMP)
    • Very active in the London’s music scene and abroad, gigging regularly with pop, rock and r’n’b artists and bands as well as cover gigs such as weddings, private events and corporate events
    • Daniel is the drummer for the italian artist DEIV (link)
    • Member of the hard-rock band Leader of Down (link), fusion-rock band HORGA (link) and the party/wedding band 'Take Cover UK' (link)

    Gotthard Drum School has been founded by the legendary drummer Hena Habegger of the swiss hard-rock band "Gotthard", in Lugano, Switzerland. The goal of the school is to teach and promote the art of drumming through high quality one to one tuition and by organising workshops and masterclasses, to prepare the next generation of drummers for a professional or amateur career and to create a community where drummers can share ideas and meet new friends. At present time, the school has different branches opened on the swiss territory in Lugano-Pregassona, Ponte Tresa, Mendrisio and Winterthur.

    One to one lessons

    At Gotthard Drum School London we use the standard teaching contract by the MU (Musician Union), which you can read by clicking here. Contract will be printed by the teacher and given to the student at the first lesson.

    Video-recording of students
